Another NYU Course Announcement! SPEAKING IMPROMPTU: NEVER SOUND UNPREPARED AGAIN (EVEN IF YOU ARE)

In addition to teaching Speaking Without Fear this fall at NYU, I'll be the professor for SPEAKING IMPROMPTU: NEVER SOUND UNPREPARED AGAIN (EVEN IF YOU ARE).

Join me this Fall Semester at NYU for this course. The course runs from Oct. 5th through Nov. 30th.

This is an in-person course designed specifically for NYU!

About the course:
Are you comfortable giving prepared talks but get tongue-tied when asked to speak off the cuff? Whether your presentation is for a board of directors or a classroom of kids, being thrown into in the spotlight without advanced preparation can be nerve-racking. This course is designed to help you develop poise, clarity, and a sense of ease with impromptu speaking. Learn how to prepare for the unexpected through in-class exercises, while brushing up your fundamental presentation skills. The instructor provides constructive feedback on each person’s performance. Self-monitoring is encouraged and aided through the use of digital recording.

YOU'LL WALK AWAY WITH

  • Improved verbal communication skills
  • Awareness of your own communication style
